So, I overcame the fear and flew halfway across the globe to live my dream to W&T! It is surreal feeling. Within the 6 days I’ve moved 3 apartments, met different people and felt like a little left out child.. Everyone speaks Russian here, I could have sworn I was in little Russia. And sadly, I don’t understand a word of Russian. But the people I’ve met are really nice and friendly, and now that I’m living in a new apartment (home for the next 3months.) I have befriended awesome people from Macedonia and Kazakhstan! We make quite a family really. 1 night of living together and we are already making plans to visit Orlando, NY and Chicago together!! Screw work! ;)

Most of their main purpose of the trip is to improve their English, whereas mine was just to come have fun LOL how shallow am I? :/

Anyhow, housekeeping was crappy on the first day, but it got better. We’re tagged to different people each day to be trained, and each day I get tagged to a nicer trainer. And we get to keep everything that is leftover in the rooms. The other day we got a huge haul - we could put necessities shopping on hold with the detergents, dishwashing liquid, packets of ham and other things that we found! Work was awesome that day.

Panama City Beach, Florida is a really beautiful place. My apartment is like a condo, with a pool and clubhouse right downstairs. The clubhouse has a pool table and some games like taboo and bingo!!! I really cannot wait to check it out.

I’m really thankful I did not back out at the last minute to go on this trip alone. It is such an awesome experience and the people here are so friendly, it’s hard to feel unwelcome really. Strangers will randomly start befriending you everywhere, it’s really cool! :)
